Kaeli's Birth

Kaeli was born by a planned C-Section at 7:51 AM on Friday, May 29th. These pictures are when we first arrived at the hospital, taken in the Triage. In this room, we just listened to the baby's heartbeat for a while, and they hooked up the IV.

Here we are in our clothes, ready for the surgery.
Donna Lennox was able to attend the birth, also. She is a surgical tech at the hospital, and took most of the pictures for us.
This is a picture that was taken during the surgery.
This is when they first brought the baby to me to see her.
Kaeli weighed 8 lbs and 6 oz.
This picture was taken in the Recovery Room. We stayed in this room for about 2 hours, and then we went to another room that we stayed in for the remainder of the hospital visit.
Doug made the phone calls in the Recovery Room to let our families know that Kaeli had arrived.
Naomi wanted to hold Kaeli right from the start!
By this time, Naomi was sick of being in the hospital room! There was just not enough to entertain her there!
These pictures were taken after we arrived back home. Naomi decided she has to try out the pacifiers, too!
My family sent us flowers while we were in the hospital. Here, Naomi is posing with the flowers.

Here, Naomi is copying her daddy, reading her Bible in the rocking chair in the front room. She is a true Daddy's girl!
